There are a lot more things to the quality of a camera other than the MegaPixel count. The number of pixels - by themselves are rarely an indicator of how good an image is. Ask any expert .

The S95 has a sensor about 40% larger than the Sony. Larger sensors mean better low-light performance. The S95 also has manual exposure capability, which many compact cameras do not have. Those two features will result in better photos (at least in the hands of a good photographer).

The Powershot S95 was introduced in August 2010 as a slight upgrade to the S90, which was widely praised for its image quality and excellent interface but criticized for being hard to hold ("like a bar of soap in the shower") and for having a control dial that turned too easily. The S95 fixes both problems and adds a couple of other features in a package that fits in the pocket of your jeans (if they're not super tight). The case is metal, and although there are no finger grips on the body, it's not slippery at all. Because Canon company started to make Cameras before Sony , and they Specialized in lenses ..

So Canon Camera lenses is more perspicuous than Sony

Canon by far is the best camera you could possibly choose! They have been making quality cameras for decades and received nothing but praise for their products. Enough so I owned Canon for all of my professional life.
Regretfully I had an experience with Sony, where they refused to repair a product out of warranty ( one week past warranty), even though I offered to pay for it with estimate of course....Show more
