I don't believe religion matters , think of Bernie Madoff and the clients he was able to fleece, upscale, wealthy, able to have legal consul also, think of the countless cons people fall for every day in every city, but I also think of the other Jim Jones - type groups over all the years who have fallen for religious cons - like those people who took poison, covered their faces with a purple cape, died thinking an alien ship was going to come to take them ? where ever ?

There have been so many people duped. To me, every person in the crowd at these huge t v revival shows with various assorted preachers yelling GOD IS IN THE HOUSE !!!! etc etc and saying PUT YOUR MONEY IN THE BASKET TO SEND TO THE LORD !!! but then he gives you his own address, All of those people have already fallen for the Ultimate Con Artist. To me, that UCA is every priest, minister, Rabbi, Ayatollah, or how ever you spell that one, in the world. Since most of the population seems to need to be hood-winked in some way, I'd say , hands down, the theists all have already fallen into the hands of the Ultimate Con Artists of the world.

Every person who sits in a church or synagogue or temple or mosque has already been taken by a con artist, especially those who fanatically blow themselves up in the name of their UCA . So, it is not either an atheist or a theist, it is the nature of the human being to be prey for all of the UCA's in the population.
