Unreal tournament on ps3 online play?

Is there much of an UT3 community online, and if so, is it still a reasonably modern looking game?

And if not, then are there decent UT like alternatives?

Yeh, I played it 10/11 years ago and it was an awesome game.

I imagine it's a bit dated now though, but if there's an active community, I really fancy the idea of going and kicking *** with a flak cannon.

I'm playing MW3 now, which is great, but I'm after something more like UT.

I occasionally play Unreal Tournament 3 with bots offline, and I've never been online so I can't help you there.

I'm not sure if you're willing to stick only to your PS3, but Counter Strike: Source's gameplay is very similar to that of Unreal Tournament's, albeit not as fast-paced and it's more of a team-based game. Team Fortress 2 is another, but I've never played it.
