Why is season 6 of Psych soo short?

Psych was a summer series before this season. The USA Network said that they moved it to the Fall this season because they had no room for it on their Summer schedule. That means that it got bumped by other series. That could mean that the series is in trouble but USA hasn't announced a cancellation or anything. Usually, when a network knows that they are bringing a series back they announce it and they haven't. That makes me think that they're not sure until they see what the pilots for new series do when they preview them to audiences.
