Now I know a PS3 is just a little more expensive but it has free internet, and xbox is cheaper but u have to pay, but i have more circumstances as well. Most of the kids at my school have xbox and stuff but my 3 closest friends have PS3. I was wondering what your opinion is, because mine is usually not a good one. Now honest and only please, and thanks in advance.

Personally the PS3 is the better one...
PS3 is better due to free internet, slightly better graphics, has some good exclusives, built in blu ray player and can be used as a p.c if you know how.
Xbox has a lot more games which is a definate bonus, lot more players and microsoft will fix most problems that you may have at minimal cost.
Oh and the poster saying how else are you going to play FEAR... Is that not on both consoles?
Downsides for PS3 is if you do get a problem with it, very difficult to fix and expensive to buy in the first place. However with the xbox the cost works out just as if not more expensive with all of the extras you will end up buying.

Honestly speaking Xbox 360 is way better in my opinion for many reasons. First off there are many great 360 only games such as Gears of War, Halo and etc. Online game play is way better because your less likely to run into some1 using shitty wireless connection unlike ps3 that mostly uses Wireless connection because it comes with it. Yea you do have to pay to play online but if u cant afford $ 25 for 3 months then you shouldn't even get a system lol. That and I know many people that bought ps3 and now they only use it to play blue ray movies. And the best part the new 360s don't get Red Rings and they have awesome connect so = D. In conclusion don't get a ps3 not worth it and it cost more

Having owned both of them to me it seems the ps3 is better. It has the same quality of online service as the xbox 360 and as you said it is free. Also the ps3 has psn which is like xbox live just that it gives you free games for having it (right now you can get the spyro games for free.)
Xbox live does have the cross game chat which is really nice,
Both are great systems but I think xbox live is a rip off.

If you are going to be playing games online frequently, the fee for xbox live is definitely worth it. Even my friends who own a ps3 admit that xbox 360 has better online services... I have an Xbox 360 and i absolutely love it.
