How I can install ceramic tile on a wall and what tools do I need to do so? Any other tip that I should know about it to do a good job would be appreciated.

If the wall is sturdy, clean and grease free , you can install tile on the walls.
Basic mastic and a 1/4" V notched trowel to get the tiles to stick to the wall. You ll need at least a hand cutter but better yet you can rent a wet saw. Depending on the kind of tiles your setting it may be worth the investment of a cheap wet saw. By the time you rent a saw you can buy a cheap one.
You ll also need sponges, bucket, possible spacers and a margin trowel will come in handy.
Once the tile is selected I will be happy to guide you in the actual process.

Go to Home Depot or Lowes and buy a product called goof off.
Put some on a sponge with the scratcher on one side--wear gloves and clean up the mess.
