Does this speak volumes about Lamar's character (read)?

After the failed 3-team deal, the Lakers expected Gasol and Odom at training camp, Friday.

Pau, as usual, arrived at training camp on time and showed no signs of tension with teammates and coaching staff. When asked how he felt about his team trying to trade him, Pau responded, "After last year's poor playoff performance, I deserve to be traded." (Mind you, I'm paraphrasing. If you want, you can find the exact interview online somewhere).

Meanwhile, Lamar showed up to training camp 90 minutes late, and isolated himself from his peers. When asked about last night's trade situation, Lamar replied by saying, "I don't feel wanted. Why are players supposed to be loyal to the team, when the teams aren't loyal to us?" (Again, I'm paraphrasing. The actual dialogue can be found somewhere online, I'm sure).

Good riddance, Lamar. I've always admired your talents, but you have major character issues, evident by the fact that you're married to a Kardashian, among many other things.

Even if Pau Gasol gets traded, I'll still admire him for his character.

Think about all the sacrifices he has made with the better of the team in mind. He was there when the Lakers missed the playoffs. He was there when we were bounced by the suns,in the first round, two years in a row. He gave up a starting position in order for the Lakers to actually have a bench. LA losses Ariza, and Ron Artest comes in,and Lamar makes his feel right at home. He has been in,and out of the starting line up. I get where he is coming from.

Not at all. Coach even said it: this was a very weird trade-not-trade scenario, and Pau and Odom have a right to have a reaction. Odom got pissed and said so. That's not a character flaw, that's human. Marry whoever you want, too. You want character? Take a look at the rings he earned with hard work...

It is the nature of the business (all professional players know this) they remain friends off the court.

The media will have a field day with this one.

Kobe has the right to be upset from a friendship standpoint; he and Lamar became close over his time with the Lakers.
