What is this instrument?
It can be heard in literally the first two seconds of 'Waka's Promenade' on YouTube (not Waka's theme). I went to my school's band concert but I wasn't able to inquire about it. It's some sort of percussion instrument?
It produces a continual sound faster than (but not unlike) a drum-roll for a few seconds.
Anyway, please look for the video and if you know what it is called please let me know.
