How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?

3. There was a man of the Pharisees, a leader of the Jews called Nicodemus. This man came to Jesus by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God; for no man can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.”
Jesus answered and said to him, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”
Jesus answered, “Most assuredly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You must be born again.’ The wind blows where it wishes, and you hear the sound of it, but cannot tell where it comes from and where it goes. So is everyone who is born of the Spirit.”
Nicodemus answered and said to him, “How can these things be?”

Can someone explain this to me please.

the explanation is above. To be born again ... means to be a Believer, a Christian.
to be baptized in water and the Holy Spirit.
A person is renewed in his MIND ... the mindset takes a complete overhaul when it studies the Word of God, the Holy Bible (king james, niv ).

a christian is not a christian unless he studies the Law of Moses which is what Jesus preached.
Read leviticus, deuteronomy and you will get a general u/standing of the Law.
however, the basic law would be the 10 commandments, found in exodus chap. 20.

Jesus was attempting to explain spiritual re-birth to Nicodemus. Nicodemus confused what Jesus was saying as being "re-born" physically.

Jesus is explaining that people cannot, as they are, enter the Kingdom of Heaven, because they are of the "flesh", meaning sinful, physical flesh, and are not worthy to do so. They must be spiritually be re-born again, through His flesh, meaning His redemption through the Cross, the Crucifixion, to be allowed to enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Christs blood cleanses mankind of their sin, and those who accept Him as Savior, are redeemed, and will go to heaven when they die.

Yes, that is very possible. I've spoken with spirits that seek their mother because they are drawn to someone for any reason. Say a person loved their mother with everything they had, passed away, and made a clear decision (in the spirit realm) to find the next opportunity to have the same mother. It's probaby not common, but VERY possible and has happened.

When Adam ate of the fruit, he died that day, spiritually. Sin was then in his blood and since the father passes his blood to the children, all have sin in their blood. So when Jesus said "you must be born again of the water and the Spirit". Notice that 'Spirit' is capitalized, meaning God. Jesus gave Peter the keys to the kingdom and in his first sermon, when asked "what shall we do" he said:
Act 2:38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
There it is, water (baptism), Holy Ghost (Spirit, God in us). The gift is the eternal life that Adam cost us.
