why does my computer always restart when the windows XP logo comes out?

it always restart when im turning it on, what do you think is the problem? its like somethings wrong. please help me. :)

the systems boot up file is corrupt

What to try
boot the computer up, 20 seconds into the boot up tap the F8 key, this will take you in to safe mode scroll down to start in safe mode. press enter let windows do it's thing then close windows down normally,

Reboot the system hopefully this will have sorted the problem our, if not your going to have to reinstall the operating system
