I have a large chip (about the size of a dime) in one of my bowling balls. I was thinking about using liquid plastic filler and then sanding and polishing. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

You can't do anything about this since there is no way to make it come back together...

There are 2 ways to repair chips in candlepin balls. First clean the ball and using a small round drill tip rough up the surface of the hole a bit. The hole has to be deep enough to hold the epoxy, but you only need a very shallow depression. (1) Purchase Mighty Putty, mix and fill in the hole, wipe the fill even with the surface with a damp cloth. The patch will be white and can't be coloured. (2) Get a good grade epoxy and add a very small drop of artists oil paint to colour it the same colour of the ball, then mix the epoxy with a toothpick. When ready add the epoxy to the hole and let dry overnight. File the epoxy close to the surface with a good file then use very fine sandpaper to smooth it level with the surface of the ball. Don't file so hard that you scratch the ball. To resurface the ball like new you need a spinner and automotive finishing pads from course to very fine. Directions will come with the spinner.
