Is this a Craigslist scam?

I received this email after emailing an inquiry about a Craigslist job posting:

This is Danielle, the hr assistant for 1st Premier Staffing, inc. I received your resume today, and i'm
excited to let you know that I think you are a great applicant. The position pays out 14.75/hour + benefits,
and that is better than your previous position. If you decide, I want to move you forward
in the hiring process now!

My next step is to get your info screened by Diane the hiring manager. To avoid problems, she only
takes resumes that are viewable on a secure site. To send your resume complete the steps
below:

1. Click Here
2. Next, enter your personal info and upload your resume.

Let me know when you finish the steps above. If you don't contact me by tomorrow January, 3 2011,
I'll think that you are no longer interested, and I will have to go on to the following applicant.

Rebekah, you're a good applicant to the job, but I will move on to the next applicant if I need to.

The link took me to a site shown as "job.com," and it seems to me like it's probably a scam to get more resumes on that job website, but I wasn't sure. Is this something employers legitimately do? I wanted to know if anyone else had experienced this issue.

Employers would just ask you to email their resume to them. They do not need you to enter it in a specific site (although some may ask you to submit it to their site too, but it's their *own* site, like www.microsoft.com as it's the easiest way to get all your information into their system). I've never ever heard of someone using a 3rd party site to collect information. Their line about "To avoid problems, she only takes resumes that are viewable on a secure site" is complete BS - you can just as easily email them your resume as you could enter fake information into a "secure" site.

Yes! SCAM, SCAM, SCAM!

I got the same basic email with a B.S. "FROM" email address and the same B.S. company names.

Fake fake fake! I literally received an email exactly like that 5 minutes ago. Don't fall for it. If you're looking for a job, try a staffing company.

I did, however, get hired for a legitimate job through Craigslist. A big corporation, Banfield Pet Hospital, so don't give up completely on CL...just be VERY weary! Best of luck!

It's a scam, they'll draw up a forged or bad cashier's/certified check that will bounce but take some time to clear (and then bounce). In the mean time, you've given them the item and probably given them some of the excess as well (the scam used to involve sending a check for more than the amount of the item and having you return the excess).

dont do it. its a scam for your info. see it says "Next, enter your PERSONAL info and upload your resume"
usually scammers give you another website to put your information in. and it said a "secure site" and its "job.com" now how can that be secure if you think about it. and it say by "Diane" theres no last name so the scammer just made it up.
anyways just dont do cause its fake. ask for a phone number if you can. if they dont respond than its FAKE and its a scam
