I'm currently in high school (junior), and I just need to know: is college worth looking forward to? High school is rather awful in terms of everything, from the education you're forced to get from teachers who could care less about doing their job well to the sheer amount of work I get that prevents me from ever relaxing or having a social life......so is college any better? Are the professors actually good at doing their job of teaching you, as opposed to just assigning work for you to do outside of class while they waste class time discussing their life or ignoring the students completely? Assuming you don't major in law or medicine or something extremely challenging that requires years and years of study, is there still a ridiculous/unmanageable amount of work? Is socializing/dating any easier? (I can't ever seem to meet any new friends or any guys despite attending school social functions whenever they happen). Current college students/former college students: your opinions?

I liked high school (although my high school was not the typical high school), but college was much better. Yes, the course work was much harder, more complex and there was more of it. (I went to a liberal arts college, so we probably had to do more research and writing than the average university student.) My courses were interesting and the professors were easily accessible. Academically it was pretty intense, but the social life was fun. I had great friends, there were things to do on campus, there were parties (and drinking and drugs) and dances, concerts and movies, and there was enough going on socially to make you feel like you got a break from the studying on weekends. I dated a lot, but it was also fun to just hang out with my girlfriends. If your chief concern is with the workload, then a less competitive school might work better for you.
Having a social life is def. harder because you have to either choose from having a social life or school work. If you are super organized, you can actually have a social life. In other words, if you want to have a social life, it really depends on you (your time management). Like the person above me said, you will likely hang out with the kids your in class with. To be honest, university/college is way different because you come out of high school thinking you have "friends" but those friend don't give a s_ _ _ about you. MAIN POINT: you do your own thing and they (your friends) do their own thing. But obviously, I am giving you a biased opinion because some kids will love university because its a fresh start. No one really knows you. You have classes with alot of people = opportunity to meet new people. It all really depends on the PROGRAM your going in to. For example: someone in nursing (7 course workload) or pre-med may not have that much time to communitate while in school because of their workload but somone in lets say humanties might not have a heavy workload and still might have a social life. Now that's not to say that science kids don't have a social life, because that is not true!! Alot of science kids LOVE to party it up (me being one of them) but just not during school. Usually during christmas break and other ocussions when you have time.
It's harder, everyone either drinks more or studies more. People drop out, get pregnant, and get wasted. Teachers expect you to learn on your own, won't change your grades or have particular reasons for giving you bad ones. You're assigned work and you're expected to "get it" by the time the test comes around. Unless you're a pre-med, you'll be okay. Socializing gets harder. Social divisions are more apparent. Pre-meds hang with pre-meds, liberal arts kids with liberal arts kids. It's easy to bomb a semester. Keep your head up. Don't take on too much in your first year. Feel it out, get adjusted, and keep yourself on track. Get enough sleep and keep a healthy diet.
It relies in what manner you hated prime university. If you did not cherish to do university paintings then no it's not going to bigger. If it's considering that of the youngsters in university. Yes, it is going to be special. You can be to your possess to be certain you move for your categories and move do your paintings. You gets your regulations at the first or moment day of sophistication what the trainer expects out of you. Plan to do plenty of residence paintings and studying. You might not be making peers particularly. You would possibly make one or 2 in a category. It is not anything like prime university. Remember you may also wish to be one feel in lifestyles and you may also difference your brain down the road to be whatever else. That is simply aspect of lifestyles. Good Luck and particularly research rough. It rate plenty so don't over load yourself till you realize what you'll manage. Be certain to take sufficient categories if you're to your mother and father clinical coverage you continue to may also be on it. Find that out and discover out what number of models you ought to take to be on their coverage.
