Need to disable my Touchpad?

Question

I cannot disable my touchpad on my Dell XPS 17 MLK. I used Fn+F3, and that does not work even though the light saying the touchpad is disabled is turned on. No, other button sequences do not work. either, and I tried disabling it on Device Manager and Control Panel. Please I want help, but I do not want to download software such as TouchpadPal to disable it only while typing.

Read the laptops user manual listed in all programs or download it by model number from http://www.support.dell.com read section on using, setting, disabling it.
