I often get "Add to Messenger list" messages from Yahoo but when I click to check the Profile I get this

Not found
The page you were looking for doesn't exist.
Go to your profile".
Question is how come someone with no Profile record can send me add to messenger list request?
Any explanation by yahoo will be appreciated.

They sent you the request and subsequently deleted their account or got banned. They sent it and then got deleted. It was probably a spambot that got deleted for violating Yahoo ToS

I have the same issues with all of my contacts with messenger, and it says it with all my contacts that are on all of the time. It doesn't make sense!! These are people I know so I doubt it is because they were banned from yahoo or deleted their profile, but who knows!! It is easier to get to know people on Facebook I see more and more, and I am seeing yahoo is becoming obsolete and is loosing it's popularity.....
