Isn't IMAGINING killing someone better than actually killing them?
Seeing as killing people is frowned upon in this society. Imagining killing people gives you a vent for your anger without carrying out the action.

Perhaps but you need to find an actual outlet or someday you might find you did (or tried to do) more than just imagine. People don't realize that when you get angry the actions you take, whether inward or outward, have a big effect on your psyche. If you get mad and shout and throw stuff you are actually training yourself to do that whenever you get angry. Same thing if you just bury it all inside, at some point you will blow up and do something you wouldn't think you normally would. I bury anger but got more than irritated one time and randomly put my fist through a wall, not something I would ever do normally but it was just that one time I couldn't take it. I would encourage you to find a good physical outlet for your anger in addition to imagining whatever you will.
I think most things short of actually killing someone are better than killing someone with the caveat of torture (psychological or physical) and possibly rape.
