Slow cooker safety, leachable lead and poly-resin blends?
I cook for my family (including my toddlers) in the slow cooker up to 5 nights per week.
I am concerned about lead leaching from the crock.
I've looked into slow cooker liners, and Reynolds makes one that is BPA-free, poly-resin blend. I have no clue what a "poly-resin" blend is. Is it safe?

I'd be more afraid of liners than the material the crock is made out of. Is your crock pot not metal or ceramic? I would not use a plastic one...
Personally, I don't like to use heat with any kinds of plastics** even though some are definitely safer than others...and there's also more danger from using them at high heat than at low heat. Some acidic ingredients can be more problematic too.
The crock in a slow cooker has been glazed in a high-heat kiln under specific laws so should be very safe though (unless it was made in another country like Mexico where sometimes ceramics have lead in them--those are mostly regular bowls and pots though, not anything used in a slow cooker).
So I wouldn't have a problem with cooking in a slow cooker very frequently, but you could always buy one that has a metal pot instead of a ceramic one (or use an electric roaster like a slow cooker). Or you could use other kinds of pots that would do the same kind of low and slow cooking, like Dutch ovens (on stove or in oven) or pressure cookers (which aren't slow, but work in a similar way to tenderize but cook foods quickly). Or just use your metal, glass, or enameled items some of the time.
**poly-resin is a plastic, just one perhaps without one of the softeners like BPA that are used in some kinds of plastics... plus, most all "non-stick" surfaces are plastics
you may prepare dinner any recipe in a sluggish cooker which you may simmer on suggestions-blowing of the range. the two issues you may watch are the liquid and the spices you employ. Liquid does not boil away in the sluggish cooker so decrease a million/4 of the liquid talked approximately as for in the recipe and in basic terms use 3/4.of it. except you will use the liquid as gravy Spices are intensified in a sluggish cooker so use a mild hand. attempt doing a roast in it. placed a layer of onions decrease in rings and carrot circles in the backside Then upload the roast pro with salt and pepper and a few crimson meat broth. prepare dinner on low for 8 hours
