Cold brown tone for B/W prints?

Sepia is way too warm, but how do i get a B/W shot cold tone brown. I have P/S and GIMP. Thanx much.

Try creating a new layer above your image.

Now fill the layer with blue
Set the layer mode to overlay
Adjust the opacity until you're happy with the result.

Brown has red in it, you can't describe any brown color as "cold". Bluish colors are described as cold - but if you add blue to brown you get something that looks like purple.

The only thing you could probably do is reduce the saturation a little.

how about adding the sepia but then desaturating it or lowering the density? Or doing that but adding a cool filter over the top?
