When Will The New LP Guide Book Be On The Street's Of Hanoi?

The new LP guide to Vietnam is due for publication on 1st Feb (or so say Amazon) and I was wondering when it was likely that it would be available on the streets of Hanoi. as http://www.hanoitravelfun.com/cheap-and-luxury-hotels-in-hanoi/

I leave UK on 28th Jan so can't buy here - will I be able to buy there in early Feb (2nd to 4th) or should I take my old one with me?

Also, what is the going rate for guide books?

Yes, I agree. Changes made recently seem to be more about cutting back than adding anything new. I've found that much of the advice in guidebooks has been out of date for years. At times I've found that information already out of date in the old edition is repeated in a newer one. I wonder if the writers actually go there anymore or do they just make phone calls. Anyway by the time the new edition comes out, much has changed. Vietnam is changing very fast.
