i'm redoing my room.
i want the colors to be dark purple, black, white, touches of gold or silver (which one), and touches of green
bedspread will be white.
sheets will be dark purple
i have dark purple lamps and a couple dark purple accents.
what color walls (i was thinking white just to keep it simple and clean looking)
and what color furniture?
any other tips.
btw i'm 21.

Walls should be white or a very very light soft lavender or very light gray.
Furniture white with colored walls or black furniture with white walls.
The rest of it sounds great.

A purple feature wall and light mauve colour for the other walls. I woulsd go for white furniture

I think plain snow white colored walls along with watermark of purple would look awesome in your room.And as far as furniture is concerned you can go with zebra print furniture as it would create good ambiance in your purple room and it would make your room look more spacious. Zebra print sofas and couch would also look unique as compared to rooms of your friends. I have zebra colored furniture in my room that i had bought from neoteric luxury and all my friends have appreciated it a lot so that is why i am advising you to go with zebra print furniture.

A black ceiling and black floor is going to shorten the height of the room. There are many other ways to create a modern look other than something so drastic.
