What did you think of the dogs in the Super Bowl commercials?

I liked that Bud Light squeezed a plug for adopting rescue dogs into the "Weego" commercial, but think Skechers was *really* tone-deaf in its Mr. Quiggly (French Bulldog) ad, which implicitly endorses Greyhound racing. In the last few decades, as the public comes to know what nice pets Greyhounds are, and the miserable conditions they endure at racing kennels and tracks, it has increasingly turned its back on dog tracks and the numbers of fans, and tracks, have plummeted. The ad was filmed at Tucson Greyhound Park, which is one of the country's worst. Last week a committee of the Arizona legislature voted unanimously to phase out dog racing in their state. Skechers was informed many months ago of dog lovers' objections to Greyhoung racing, but refused requests to pull the ad.

I did wonder about that. Glad I've discovered Dansko clogs are better than Skechers...
Sounds to me as if Greyhound rescue has some leverage over Skechers -perhaps that ad and a commentary should be on every greyhound rescue website...until they make a Greyhound sneaker with some kickbacks for the retirees.

Being the quintessential NON politically correct person that I am, I found the Sketchers ad hilarious.
I had wondered what all the bru ha ha was about regarding the ad and saw that it was for nothing.
There was no implicit endorsement of Greyhound racing, it was a funny commercial aimed at people that actually posess a sense of humor.
