What is Sprint's policy on rooting?

I have the HTC EVO 4G and originally I was going to keep the original software, but after lots of frustration and the realization that EVERYONE roots their phone, I've decided to go for it. My one question is, will doing this void any contract with Sprint? I have a phone replacement plan and if it will completely void that (or worse, the cell contract) then i won't root it. I don't feel like digging through Sprint's "Terms or Conditions" so does anyone know what sprint's rooting policy is?

Technically it voids the warranty but they don't care if it is rooted as long as you keep the stock ROM on the phone.

If you flash custom ROMs you may not be able to get tech support if you have an issue.

I have had many a rooted device serviced by Sprint both in the store and over the phone and the fact that they were rooted never came up a single time.

I also have a very good friend that works in management with Sprint and he has confirmed to me that they do not care if one of their devices is rooted.

I have also switched service from a BlackBerry to a rooted device without issue.

Root it.

its nothing to do with Sprint
it voids your warrenty, so if you need to get service, you will need to pay for it
sprint doesn't replace/repair anything... they deal with the manufacter, or insurance company... wich both won't touch a rooted phone.

also "EVERYONE" doesn't root their phone... the majority of phone users don't even know what root is... others don't due to it voiding their warrenty, or don't want to bother.
