How do you reset (clear) the BIOS / CMOS on a Laptop?

Now mind you, I don't want to have to take the laptop apart and dig in for the CMOS / BIOS battery.
That's too much hassle.
I've heard there is way to do it from the power button somehow.
If anybody knows for sure how to achieve that, please answer. Like if you did that yourself and know the exact procedure...

Also I do not need to clear any BIOS password, so don't suggest any password recovery software.

Thanks.

Gary, and others, do I have to put everything in 1 inch high caps?

I DO NOT NEED OR WANT TO RECOVER A PASSWORD, OK?????

I just want to reset / clear the BIOS settings without having to take the laptop apart and remove the CMOS battery. And I'm not talking about the simple default settings from inside the BIOS settings options, just a hard wipe/restore. That's all.
Is there a way to do that??

sorry to tell you but there is no other way to reset the BIOS/CMOS without taking it apart.
Although there is one option that you can reset to factory defaults in the CMOS

you may attempt to take out the battery, it quite is the flexibility on your BIOS. It sounds very almost such as you tried to flash an replace to you BIOS. if it quite is the case and it failed your screwed.
