i am a retro gamer i usually play super nes n64 genises etc and the only modern games i play are starcraft 2, WOW, skyrim and minecraft and i am looking forward for diablo 3 but i just know that there must be allot of more interesting games out there like maybe COD series games or grand theft auto series ETC thanks

I think the CoD series is over rated, I liked them when I was a kid, and I like CoD 4, and WaW, MW2 is alright, but after that, the games seem to go downhill.
Grand Theft Auto IV is a great game, but San Andreas is probably tied with GTA IV if not better. Vice city is also decent.
Other games I can recommend are, if you have a PS2/PS3, Sly Cooper, I have always found those to be fun, and Dead Island, assassins creed.
And since you said you liked playing Skyrim, you should try out the Fallout series.

There are so many games to try: Deus Ex: Human Revolution is a very good cyberpunk fps; Frozen Synapse is a great tactical, turn-based strategy game; AI War + expansions for some tough 4X sci-fi strategy gaming; and Crusader Kings 2 for a fantastic Game of Thrones strategy type of experience.
