I was always told no, but I think it can.
My friends and I all agree, that 50% of the time we start having sex the day we finish our periods, they start again.
@quadrapop- I think that if you are at the age where you can start getting orgasms, you were close to getting your period anyways, and that your body may have told itself.. if you are orgasming, you are having sex and should bleed so you can get pregnant. Nature's way.

If your period is about to start anyway, some serious orgasmic contractions could easily shake things loose and get the period party started a little early. If you expected it a week from nowk likely it was gonna be early anyway and you just pushed it ahead a day or two. Btw orgasms, exercise, and anything active will help reduce cramps, so perhaps that's why you didn't get any.

If you are within a few days of having your aunt flow it could speed it along some. I have known women who were pregnant and in the last few months and enjoyed sex having an orgasm gave them labor pains. So it could also give you the onset of a period. Since muscles inside are going to contract and expand similar to cramps during a period. Some women in fact enjoy having sex during their periods because it reduced the cramping pains. Granted it can be a bit messy however, a towel or in the shower should take care of most of it.
