What is the name of this ballet step? I think it's a male ballet step?

So my knowledge of ballet can pretty much fit in a thimble, but I was watching a ballet yesterday and there's a step that I want to know the name of because it's always one of my favorites to watch.

I've only ever seen men do it. The guy sort of quickly spins a bunch of times while going around the outside of the stage. But not spinning in a tight circle, more of a leap-spin? The arms and legs are spread out.

I'm hoping that someone with a good knowlege of ballet will know what I'm talking about, because I would have no idea where to even start looking in a "ballet step dictionary" on google. I tried to find a video, but since I have no idea what to call it, I couldn't find a good one.

It's more the part at :50 than at 1:54 (they seem different to me, but I don't know that for sure?)

I think you may be talking about the "Barrel Turn"

Try to search up some videos and see if that's what you're talking about.

In the video linked above, barrel turns start at about 1:54.

EDIT:

The turns at :50 and 1:54 are different. The one at :50 are grand jete en tournant. The one at 1:54 are the barrel turns like I told you. :)

Coupe Jete

Angel is correct from what you are describing it sounds like a barrel tour (turn). My thumbs up for her answer.

Here you can see soloist Gennadi Saveliev of ABT doing the barrel at :52

*EDIT for additional: Those are NOT barrel turns. Like Angel, that is what I thought too by the way you described them. After looking at your video clip, I can tell you those are just grand jete e tournant (a turn with a jete.) Therefore it is Abilena1 who is correct. The actual jete is done straight and they are tombe coupe jete. I think she answered after you posted your video link.

**Additional edit: Looks like Angel went back to this question too after your additional information video link. Her edit is the correct answer too.

I think you're talking about tombe coupe jetes. It's like they spin around and then jump into a leap (in a split position) and repeat.
