"G" stands for the gravitational pull of the earth. The corresponding values for moon will be 1/8of Earth's G, & will vary from planet to planet !

As far as we know, it is good for everywhere.
Remember though, it uses the distance from the center of the object, not from the outside of the object.

Well, we haven't been more than a few miles from home to test it, but we think it applies everywhere.
