Why do atheists frequent religion and spirituality answer forums?
Not once have I looked online for communities of atheists or agnostics to evangelize with my brand of religious faith. They have their communities and I respect that. I was one of them for neary three decades. What puzzles me, is that their general modus operandi on religion and spirituality forums is every bit as caustic and vociferous as they claim religion is to them....yet they are so much more intelligent and evolved compared to their puny-minded and hate driven religious neighbors. The question I ask, if you disagree with something why don't you just ignore it like I do atheism? Why the zealous need to convince everyone to adopt your worldview? This is why so many people of faith call atheism a religion. Instead of belief in an invisible deity, they believe that their worldview (or gospel) is the end-all, be-all to universal harmony. Try again. Calling people who don't agree with you, "Raca, fool" isn't working for you. Try another tack.

@Halley-check my questions. Very few of them. Maybe 2 questions for every thousand questions answered.

The end-all, be-all to universal harmony is unconditional love and respect toward your fellow man/woman and working for the commen good of all. It won't be a perfect world but it'll be a much better world.
I'm not an atheist and I don't necessarily agree with everything they say. But I can't tolerate better their philosophy and way of thinking than Christians who project their own self hatred via their god. One of the main reasons why atheists are bitter toward religion is because of it's abusive nature. I personally think it's reasonable to weigh matters objectively than to be one sided.
"I have much in common with atheists. What I find time and time again is that the god they’ve rejected is the god I’ve rejected. The god who doesn’t encourage intellectual honesty, the god who doesn’t care about the environment because 'it’s all going to burn'…the god who would condemn billions of people to hell simply because they haven’t said or done the proper ritual that Christians can’t even agree on…Some gods should be rejected." ~ Rob Bell
Trying to spread a 'world view' doesn't make it a religion. There are plenty of groups vociferously trying to spread a 'worldview' whether it be enviromentalism, animal rights, etc. etc. Those aren't religions are they?
I'm not here to spread atheism. I'm here to poke fun of the arrogant theists who come here to attack atheists. I'm a closet atheist so I sit through sermons on occasion and some of the things that are said about people who don't believe or people of other beliefs are repulsive. Christians spread their hate from the safety of their little churches where no one will argue back. If I have something to say about Christians, I want to say it TO Christians.
This happens to be an open forum for discussion of religious topics, including atheism. I'm sorry the existence of other opinions makes you uncomfortable.
Why do creationists preach on science forums? Why don't they just ignore evolution?
Why do anti-abortionists bother with Planned Parenthood? Shouldn't they just ignore it?
Why do Christians bother to speak up if another religion threatens to curtail their freedom to worship as they want? Shouldn't they just ignore it? Why would Christians be against any effort to impose Sharia law on them if they don't believe in that god anyway? Shouldn't they just shut up and ignore it?
By the way, insulting atheists for not agreeing with you is not exactly "ignoring" us.
If I recall the Crusades and the Inquisitation scoured the world to rid it of all those that didnt follow jesus. You've got some balls complaining about a few atheists ruining your feel good forum. Screw you and your gods.
