Do you think Zimmerman committed a crime? (harassment, menacing, stalking)?

Even if you believe the self defense argument for the shooting itself....

Even if the shooting was in the end, self defense, if Zimmerman instigated the altercation then that is manslaughter. Trayvon more than likely thought that it was his life that was in danger. Which one proved to be right?

its a very gray area and we will never know the whole story because the victim is not alive to tell his experience. i think just based on his history that Zimmerman went above and beyond his scope of "neighborhood watch" duties that night. IMO I do not think that he is covered under the stand your ground law when he decided to actively pursue Trayvon Martin. he was trying to be the popo but he had no legal right to go beyond reporting the "suspicious activity" to the police. i hope this incident changes some of these outrageous gun laws we have here in FL. Any freakin' idiot can carry a gun around here...it's scary!

Yeah but he did get assaulted, I don't think it was a hate crime though. Old people in the south shot on site, I've almost been shot here twice in the middle of the day by older people and I'm white.

Yes, I do. And I hope he does get arrested so that the procedures of justice can take place. Once that happens, it should stop all the controversy here and in the press. Either he's found guilty or he's acquitted. End of story.
