What do you do with a live mouse your snake didnt eat?

Out of my 11 snakes, one corn snake only eats live food. So i usually feed 2 mice every 2weeks for this snake. Well he didnt eat one of them. So now i have this mouse in a 10 gallon tank. What do i do with it? All my other snakes have.already eaten and i dont like overfeeding. All my snakes eat the biggest prey they can and then go 2 weeks on that except for babies. What should i do with it? What do you guys do with the mice you have left?

The past two weeks my BP wouldn't eat (turned out he had a mouth rot problem so that's why) so what I did was I just released them out in a corn field behind my house. I figure they will either escape and live a life in the wild, or something else will come along and eat them. I don't have to usually do this because all my snakes are great eaters, but since they all feed live, it happens occasionally.

I just keep it in a cage with food and water and take care of it until it's feeding time again. I don't like doing it but I have to sometimes - same as you....most eat F/T but I currently have a few BP's and a Burmese who only take live so I have a couple critter keepers set up with the water bottle and rodent food so when they don't get eaten, they hang out for a week or two....run on a little wheel and wait till the next feeding day:-)

Why don't you just give it food and water and leave it until the snake's next feed and try again? It will eat pretty much anything...dried dog and cat food, dried small animal food if you have it, some fruits and vegetables, dried pasta, pieces of bread.
