SNES 9X TYL MECM emulator help on PSP?
I have the SNES 9X TYL MECM on my PSP 3001, and it claims that it can load IPS patches. I have the Super Metroid Phazon hack that I want to patch. I have named the patch and game the exact same, they are both in the same folder, they are both NTSC format, and they are both headerless. I can get the game up and running on my computer with no problems at all, but my PSP loads the game, then it finds the patch and starts to apply it. It gets to about 90% and says "Extending target from <a bunch of numbers> to <a bunch of numbers>" and then crashes. What am I doing wrong?
Well, I've figured it out. The IPS capabilities of this emulator are... bad. So, I got the ROM to run by first patching it with Lunar IPS. Go to Zophar's Domain here http://www.zophar.net/ and search for Lunar IPS. It patched the ROM and now the hacked game works just fine on my PSP. I'm leaving this up so that other people with the same questions will know what to do.
