CRV change oil problem need help?

i got a used first generation Honda CRV for a couple of months already
i would like to have it checked, and have a change oil, etc
the honda dealer had a cheap deal for it, so i went to the dealer for it

i brought it in, a service advisor later informed me
that because of its age, and for CRV, (in order to change oil it needs to be lifted and what they will use is a pneumatic lifter) and it would damage the suspension specifically the shock absorbers, some CRV's suspension got broken that way they said, which would in effect cause a bouncy suspension, hich needs to be replaced as it gets broken.. and said they will do it, but waive it gets broken, why will i risk that?

is this true?

then if it is, then how can i do anything with the car, a CRV that cannot be lifted? so how do they do it?

when i was going out, with an hour wasted for the day, another person came to me, a mechanic of the dealer, and said it was okay, and if thats the case, they could line it up with the lifter they use for the wheel alignment where tires are still floor mounted and lifted all together, and do the change oil there...

so we came back, rescheduled...

and asked it back if it can be done, why do you want us to waive, use the lifter, and say it will get broken,

please advise re CRV

id like to work on it, change oil, check brakes, change differential and transmission oil, check suspension, and tune up

all you need to do is jack up under it like your going to change a tire, crawl under it, and take out the drain plug in the oil pan and let it drain into a large pan ! find the oil filter and use a filter wrench to take it off, clean the place where the filter goes on, pour some oil in the filter and put some on the gasket, screw the filter up on and hand tighten only, put the drain plug back in and tighten it ! let the car back down and put the new oil in it ! a small car like that probably just takes 4 quarts of oil !

i've got constantly felt that a incredibly heavy vehicle with a small no longer consumer-friendly working 4 cylinder motor merits to have finished guy made motor oil. no longer something will take place till finally you alter your oil next time. to ward off this from occurring back connect on your mechanic or any new vehicle dealership (ideally Honda) and carry on your person finished guy made oil in 5 quart packing containers. study your handbook interior the glove compartment interior the specs pages what the crankcase oil potential of your vehicle is. I doubt if it holds 5 quarts. you in all danger could pour-off from the 5 quart field into yet another spare plastic bottle to ward off anybody over-filling the vehicle. Walmart is thru some distance the incredibly low fee place to purchase your oil. they have a especially solid decision. If a threat, attempt to discover the previous proprietor or unique dealership and ask what kind of man made oil he used. The would won't supply up is you're no longer able to confirm what he used. bear in mind that Mobil1 is the main effective kind of man made oil bought worldwide. guy made blend oil is a waste of money. You, myself and the different customer does not understand the share of man made oil interior the bottle while while this overpriced stuff is offered.

It doesn't need lifting to change the oil, just jack up the front a bit so you can reach the drain plug, but you should be able to reach it easily enough
