abscessed tooth i think?

i'm not sure weather it is an abscess or not i can feel a pulsing thing near the top of a crowned tooth and it is extremely pain, also i have a phobia of the dentist really bad i nearly passed out on my way there last time just for a check up and i have no money at all at the minute and no insurance and no family members or friends that are in the position to lend me the money for dental expenise's is there any way to treat it (im considering pulling the tooth myself atm) iv not had more than 2 hour sleep the last couple of day because of the pain, been taking paracetamol and ibuprofen but they've not been doing anything much for the pain, any help is appreciated

if you can get your hand on antibiotics...penicillin... you need to be on an antibiotic to get the infection to stop hurting but this is only a temp relief ALL tooth infections must be treated with root canal or extracting the tooth..or the infection will come back...try a hospital for charity care or a dental school in your area.
