How much does your system use in an emergency? The only way to get the correct answer is to have a qualified professional do an energy survey of your unit and a history of the electrical use over the past 2-3 years. To have full power for an extended length of time it needs to be a diesel powered unit that can provide at least 100 amps per leg at 240 volts. This is not a small portable size unit rather a permanent installation on disconnect with power sense capability. I repeat get an energy survey of your unit and then get the advice of a professional in your area. I suspect the smallest unit will be about 15KW.

You will have to look for two things, first is Volts and second the Watts.

As long as you are going to have a Central AC and electric Range then you will need a 110/220 VAC Generator.

Now for the Watts, we need to determine the total watts of our appliances when it is all ON and on the high selection, heater/AC, Refrigerator, etc.
If we calculate the total watts needed for this house and came up with 20K Watts per say, then you will need a 40K Watts generator (Double the Watts), this way the Generator won't have any stress.

A good Generator for a house you described will be at least 35K Watts Generator.
