What types of jobs can a foreigner do on a tourist visa?
My boyfriend is a foreigner and I want him to come visit me in the USA this summer. He's never been before but he has a visa so he can enter. I assume it's a tourist visa. So his mom said the only way he can come visit me is if he works because she doesn't want him just hanging about doing nothing all summer long. The only problem is, I don't know how he could work here.
What type of jobs could he do if he doesn't have a workers visa? Nothing big, but just a typical summer job.
Could he work as a waiter (or other jobs like that) or do you have to be a US citizen for that? A cashier? A golf caddie even? I'm talking about the types of after-school teenage jobs or summer jobs. Nothing big or long term.
So far all I came up with that I know for sure wouldn't cause problems is a spanish tutor (he speaks fluent spanish), a babysitter/nanny, yard work or I don't know what else. Jobs that individual people hire you for that don't involve taxes or anything.
What else is there? What type of jobs can a foreigner do?
