Why is Christianity a lie? ?

It's obvious that it is a lie, but what is the reason? And what about it is so detrimental to society and human health?

1) (Sachin-ReadyMade)I believe in the source, universe, and consciousness. discovered these truths through drug use and mindful contemplation. it is inaccurate and short sighted to attempt to label me an atheist.
2) (car12)All of the males in my family have been pastors, I grew up in the church for 20 years, and actually payed attention. I even lead a catholic youth group for 2 years, preparing insightful messages for young people searching for truth. I am as religiously experienced as it gets.
3)(straw man) Christianity didn't bring us any of those things at all. Nice try tho. Christianity has been holding back progress since it began. And no surprise that you would bring up the illuminati after expressing that you believe those silly things.
4) (CalleyD) I'm real spirituality, not the feigned kind. You can't possibly have a real spiritual connection simply because the very foundation you base your "spirituality" on is a complete lie.
5) It can be proven wrong, d

Same reason Santa Claus is a lie: it's a nice story (until you find out the original source for it). It makes children happy that there's an invisible friend to take care of them.

For the answer regarding 'bad for health', there have been quite a few books written about how & why it is bad. My fav was "The Psychoneurosis Called Christianity" -- very old but might be avail on Amazon. If not, just google "Christianity" and "psychosis".

Christianity is the belief that everything was created by one mind, that parts not hard to believe, but wait until you see what's next. This creator supposedly as rules for us humans, he claims to be unaffected by opinions yet he tried to kill us all, several times. He believes humans are the ultimate thing in the very small 6000 year old universe, and that there is no such thing as infinity. He is supposed to love us all, yet be unbiased by the way some people hate each other. He also says we will go to hell for having a belief in something other than him, when he has not provided enough evidence for his existence. He also believes that we should be narrow minded, unopened to new scientific discoveries. He denies evolution, the big bang, and the world being billions of years old. He also talks that he is the ultimate force of the universe, when a force called evil has always been able to do what it wants.

To put a long story short, god is illogical. Whenever Christians see something unexplained by the bible, they say it is a trick of Satan who is supposedly inferior to God. The stories in the bible also defy a lot of modern science and more of fantasy.

If it's so obvious then tell us why you think that. I take that good with the bad where Christianity is concerned. I like the values: don't kill, don't steel, love thy neighbor.. I wouldn't want to live in a world where those things were not being taught to people on some level. Even when religions other that Christianity teach good principles, then I believe that is valuable to mankind.

It's not obvious that its a lie. You have never proved it. You are simply making a false statement. No one can prove any of this ridiculous religious bullcrap until we die. If its simply all black when we die. Then there is nothing beyond death. If we suddenly become another being or something else entirely, which would be the best, we are reincarnated. If we wake up in a cloudy place naked with naked babies with wings then Christianity was extremely accurate. I guess humans invented the idea of deities so that they would have hope or not be alone in the universe.

It seems certain, was the work of men and women who thought the earth was flat and for whom a wheelbarrow would have been a breathtaking example of emerging technology. To rely on such a document as the basis for our worldview-however heroic the efforts of redactors- is to repudiate two thousand years of civilizing insights that the human mind has only just begun to inscribe upon itself through secular politics and scientific culture. We will see that the greatest problem confronting civilization is not merely religious extremism: rather, it is the larger set of cultural and intellectual accommodations we have made to faith itself.
