Though we pay taxes but the list of direct and indirect taxes is so long that you are lost somewhere while counting.

You have to understand that Romney's taxes is only income taxes. It looks like this tax calculator takes into account ALL forms of taxes. Once again, you are comparing apples to oranges.

This is a typical liberal thing. If you pay no Federal income tax, which is what most of us are focused on, then you are not paying your fair share of the FEDERAL government.

You are mixing in State and Local taxes on top of Federal Taxes. Each State and Local community has their own tax rates which makes it harder to compare.

Flat tax will solve the problem. I will never understand why libbies keep complaining about how unfair the current system is and yet refuse to make any changes to it.
Perhaps they dont like it because it is a republican idea. Or maybe it is that they dont really want a fair system but rather are interested in getting as much money out of people who have more than them while paying nothing

Not the brightest, are we? Every tax listed on that form is also paid by Romney. And since his house is worth 100 times what yours is, you can bet his property taxes are more than you make in a year. He pays taxes on the gas in his yacht, plane, and all his cars. While you pay taxes on gas for maybe 2 cars? Sales tax? Just the tax on one of his cars is more than you make in year. So ....

Still want to claim you pay a higher tax rate than he does?

I am confused.

What is more important:

1. Romney paying a higher tax rate than you? or

2. Romney paying more money than you?

[Remember that Romney gave 15% to charity .. are you suggesting he stop that so he can give it to the government?]

"Tax year Taxable income Charitable donations Donations as % of income
2010 $21.7 million $2.98 million 13.73%
2011 (est) $20.9 million $4 million 19.14%"
