Well, it depends what age really. When I was very young I loved the Beatrix Potter books, especially the Tale of Samuel Whiskers. Then from about 7 or 8 my favourites were the Narnia books by C.S. Lewis, which I read again and again. They remained my favourite books until I was about 11 or 12 I think.
