A young man I know has just been told by doctors that he's got 3 months to live. We're all devastated of course, but nothing like what he must be feeling. One of our friends sent him a 'Prayer for A Good Death' card last week. It's probably a standard prayer for normal people but was it okay to send it to someone who's painfully aware he's got a time limit?

Okay first of all you owe me some brain cells cause this one really made me think. I would have to say that the sender didn't have any bad intentions on giving the card, I would like to think that the intentions were'nt to rub it in the face or to harm in anyway. I would like to think and assume that the message they we're trying to say is that they accept the other persons death and they hope that they have also, so that everything when it does, happens with ease and also it would also make the other person reflect on thier life and realize how good it was. Acceptance is a powerfull tool against fear. My prayers for the individual.

wow i think spending time with the person bringing food the person likes or trying to cheer the person up anything would have been better than that!
