Where does the McFlurry's trans fat come from?

The McFlurry has 0.5 to 1.0 grams of trans fat per serving according to the McDonald's USA Nutrition Facts for Popular Menu Items. Where is this coming from?

The individual toppings (Reese's, OREO, Rolo, M&M) have no trans fat according to their respective manufacturer's nutrition facts.

The vanilla reduced fat ice cream is used in the cones and sundaes, but they have 0g trans fat.

So if it is not the soft serve ice cream and it is not the toppings then what?

This probably stems from the fact that when something is listed as having "0g of trans fat" or "0 calories", it doesn't mean that there is actually no trans fat or calories. I'm willing to bet that the various compenents that are listed as having "0g of transfat" actually have a small amount but since it's so small they can list it as "0g", but when added together, they rise above the legal threshhold for claiming "0g"

But seriously, why are you worried? If you work out, you can handle some trans fat in your diet.
