i was feeding him a pinky (he is only about 6 months old) and i put it on a plate, but he attacked it and it went in his substrate witch is like dirt, i did not want to take it way from him because he might bite me. will he be ok

Small amount of dirt should be fine.
Wood substrate is a much different issue. I advise feeding in a separate container. It trains the snake when it is time to eat, and when it is not, which is important. You don't want your snake to think it is mealtime when you reach in to grab her.

Yes he will be fine as long as you give him plenty of cold fresh clean water to drink. Good luck :)
