What type of material does lower intake gaskets have on 2004 grand am?

was topd that the lower intake gaskets changed after 2001 from rubber to metal...is this true

The old ones were plastic and silicone. The new ones are a different plastic and a new silicone. Get them from GM or Fel-pro
