Audacity/ Windows Movie Maker help? 10 POINTS!!?

Okay so as in a previous question i said i was creating a montage, i have created my music in audacity so that i could use bits from songs that had memories with them and mix them how i wanted to. I tried to add it to my montage on Windows Movie Maker, and it says the file is not a supported file type, and it cannot be imported into Windows Movie Maker... bummer! Any ideas on how i can make it work, or any converters i can use to change the file type of my audacity remix? thanks in advance :)

Audacity should allow you to save in different formats (file types).

The most universal one is .WAV
Windows Movie Maker also supports .WMV
I suspect it will also support .MP3

You should be able to open the sound file in Audacity and select either "Save as..." and then select a File Type - or - Export to a file type.

In Audacity
click File
click Export as wav...
Save the new audio file to an easy to find location and Name it
Give the export time to complete

Movie Maker
Import your new audio file in wav format

see if that works

Have the mp3 for your laptop. Open up film maker. Go to File>>Import into collections, and uncover the mp3 dossier. Wait for it to import, after which there can be a image of a track be aware. Drag that for your storyboard/timeline and you have got the mp3 on your challenge. Sometimes mp3s do not paintings good and the music is simply too lengthy, so you'll be able to desire to transform the mp3 to a wma if that occurs. Most of them will have to paintings despite the fact that. Good good fortune!
