Could all of the Gods in history have been real?

First of all lets define "God". God is the most powerful being in the universe and created everything known to man. This definition should cover the religious and scientific view point.

Could "God" have created the other Gods like Buddha, Zeus Apollo exc to guide human beings.

If you are spiritual this could mean "Angels" not mentioned in a Bible for reasons of suppressing other interpretations of "God".

If you are scientific this could mean biological beings created to aid humans in progression.

It just seems so logical any way you look at it.

Also, could the Dinosaurs have been created to terraform the planet for humans. Once the atmosphere reached acceptable levels for human life, WAMO ! No more Dinosaurs.

I'm not talking about creating other gods "In the case of the Old Testament. In this case it would have been Angels that people mistakenly viewed as gods. These Angels could have been mentioned by God as Angels but these texts where destroyed by other fractions of religion to implant their interpretation of God. The Abrahamic God of the Old Testament would have not intervened in this deception to test the peoples faith.

My definition of God simply means the most advanced being in the universe. This could mean the first being to appear in the universe .

If their were never other advanced beings that came to earth claiming to be Gods then their wouldn't be a reason for the Gods of most religions to warn us to not worship false Gods. If their was only ever one advanced entity known to man we wouldn't have so many religions. It just boiled down to who followed who and who was the one responsible for our being here. Even if you believe in evolution that doesn't mean other advanced beings never came to earth claiming to be gods.

If you are going to be scientific, then be scientific. In other words, just because you throw around numbers like 2 and 4 and 12 doesn't mean that your conclusions (2+2=412) are based in either science and/or logic. Straw men in Armani suits are still straw men.

Your first mistake is to assume a false definition of God to begin with. You can define God as a polka-dotted flying sheep and then draw whatever conclusion you want from it. You want to argue a definition of God that is, by its very nature, subjective and biased to begin with. Obviously, the God you are referring to isn't the same God referred to by other religions or belief systems so, right away, you create an assumption that has no basis except in social and political influence. You cannot wring a scientific conclusion from a political or social answer: the two systems have different parameters for determining validity. You assume someone else's statements are true: scientifically speaking, you would also have to create an argument based on those statements at least being potentially false in order to ensure you have incorporated all possibilities.

To continue, even your definition of God fails the logic smell test with your second statement. If God is A, then how can God be B. What I mean is that if you define God as the most powerful being, how can there be other 'Gods'. There can't be two most powerful beings or three or six or twelve or twenty, which immediately negates the value of a term like God to begin with. Its like asking what if a couch could serve espresso. Well, couches don't serve espresso, espresso machines do, therefore, a couch can't serve espresso without losing it's distinction of being a couch. And sitting on an espresso machine, even with cushions, doesn't actually make it a couch.

As for your feeble attempts at being logical...see all the arguments above.

And onto the cigar-smoking dinosaurs. Why cigar-smoking, to create enough carbon dioxide to provide a heat shield from the sun's rays of course. Dinosaurs as a cheap form of servant to prepare the Earth that simply died out when man came into being is one of the dumbest, most illogical ideas I've ever heard. Might as well look at a velvet painting of Dog's Playing Poker and then ask where exactly the painter was able to capture that scene and why there isn't any film of it.

It is a virtual impossibility that the gods in history were real.
Wow ! Your defination of god covers the religious and scientific viewpoints.
Thus, your defination of God as the most powerful being on Earth and created everything known to man. The first being to appear in the Universe.

So human beings came into existence by the flick of the fingers of this powerful being. Is it right ???

Am I right to say that all gods in history could have been fakes ???

Look at the idea of the christian god. To them a being that can fly and have have magical abilities.

And in reality all it was is a alien from space. I DO NOT worship aliens nor believe in ANY other religions except Wicca & Paganism.

I've heard that about dinosaurs. Very cool theory.
I'm not sure if you have a respect for the Bible, but it does say that there is only one God and he is a "jealous God." Jealous for worship. So why would he create other Gods. He is the only one worthy of the praise and worship.
