Penalty for a minor falsifying a police report in Texas?

I filed a police report for domestic abuse, it led to felony charges against my dad. The whole police report was true, but I think the penalties my dad is facing are extremely over the top. I know I can't do much about it since the state picked up the charges, but I figure if I go into court and say I falsified the report they'll be forced to drop any charges on him (I'm the only witness/victim anyway). I'd like to know what penalties I'll be facing for this and what I can do to minimize them? I'm 17 btw.

Thanks in advance.
