Does anyone know how much rum you can bring back to the States from the Bahamas on a cruise?

Going on a cruise in November to the Bahamas...yay! Well, we thought we could bring back a bunch of bottles of rum and pass them out as Christmas presents. :) I'm sure there is a limit to what we can bring back...does anyone know? Thanks so much!

I think its 1 liter duty free, but you can bring back as much as you want and just pay the duty on the rest. It isn't much because it based on what you paid for the rum, not some fixed amount. Just be sure to declare it all when you go through customs and you will have no problems.

Im sure there IS a limit at some point, but im sure its MUCH more than you can bring in by yourself.

If you're 21 or older, you can bring 1 liter duty free into the United States.

"It is not legal for travelers under the age of 21 to import alcohol - even as a gift."

I'm not sure but if you bring back more, you just declare it, pay the duty. Like a $1 a liter, check it to that.

It's 1 liter per person. But if you're also going to St Thomas it's more
