People cut themselves to replace mental pain with physical pain.
Their could be many reasons for it like family abuse they think that they have
no friends, everybody hates them, They could be insecure.
For teenage girls its probably Insecurities or low self esteem or they get abused

Everyone cuts for different reasons. I cut when I'm angry, when I'm frustrated, or sometimes when I feel conflicting emotions. The pain is a momentary release, I don't know how exactly to explain it but you develope a certain fascination for it, the blood, the scars, the sting.
Honestly, I don't think cutting is that big of a deal. A lot of people read into it too much. I don't cut that deep and I'm definately not trying to commit suicide. It's just something I do impulsively that helps me face certain obstacles.
I actually quit for about a year because a few people close to me found out and I was ashamed, but now I'm not ashamed of it and just look at it as my own little secret.
As long as you don't mind the scars, pain, feelings afterwards and you aren't trying to kill yourself, I see no problem with it.

If you don't understand it, you've never been there. And "teenage girls"? Stereotype. Yes, most cutters are girls but plenty of guys do too. Cutters are so much stronger than everyone else because they are selfless and hurt so much yet they take it out on themselves rather than other people. Go to hell, you ignorant bastard.
