Breastfeeding questions?

My son is now a week old, I have been breastfeeding with no pacifier or pumping at all. I bf him when he's hungry. I have noticed my left is softer yet my right is still hard and painful. What should I do about it? Is my left drying up? Should I start nursing on my left since its softer or should I start on my right since it still is painful and hard? My son won't have his weight check up till tomorrow, so i'm not too sure if he's gaining weight as well as he should. His poop has changed and seems to be along of what it should be. (yellow with seedy poop). I have been bad with tracking of how much diapers I change him... but I think on average its about 6 per day. What is the average for wet diapers in a day? It sounds like you may have a clogged duct on your right side you should start feeding on the right side first after feeding apply a very warm rag to your breast and then pump to try to break up the clog and work it out if you don't want to introduce a bottle this early you can freeze any milk that you pump and bring it out when you are ready just make sure to label it as it will keep for 6 months the average wet diaper should be 6-8 a day so it sounds like baby is getting enough you just may not be emptying your breasts enough good luck

Everything sounds fine.  Your supply has probably just come in, and is still getting established and balanced, so one side may still feel more engorged than the other.
You can try offering the hard/full side first, so baby will drain it more thoroughly.  (Your left breast is NOT drying up -- unless you are never nursing on that side.)

6 wet diapers is about what you'd expect at this age.  

And don't get too hung up on his weight check tomorrow.  He will probably be several ounces below his birthweight -- he's not expected to get back to birthweight until 2 weeks.
