Does anybody recognize this instrument?

Watching "The Last Night of the Proms" yesterday I noticed an instrument in the BBC Symphony Orchestra I've never seen before. It appears briefly at 31:25 in this clip

I'm in Sweden, so the link doesn't work for me either. However, 'The Last Night of the Proms' was broadcast here. If you mean that weird looking brass instrument, it resembled a valved trombone. Then again, I only had brief glimpse of it.
