Is there a way to use Netflix without a Game system?

I have a PS3 and use Netflix a lot. My dad wants to use the service but isn't willing to buy a Gaming system that he will never use. Is there another way for him to get Netflix?

Sure.

The easiest would be to buy a Roku. This is a set-top box that provides, among other things, Netflix connectivity. Roku is $35-70, depending on the features you want. Everything you need is in the box - cables, a remote, and the instruction manual. Connecting a Roku is just like setting up your game console.

Otherwise he can hook up his computer to his TV and use the TV as a monitor (cheaper, but more complicated.)

You should use Netflix with any web-equipped gadget that supports the Netflix program. That suggests you need to use it with a wise television, a Blu-ray participant that can hook up with the internet, a set-high box, like Roku or Boxee, and many others. If they help Netflix. Now not all of them do, so you'll must seek advice the manual for the gadget you're trying to use. For my part, i use a Roku.

There are literally hundreds of different Netflix devices. It all depends on your Dad's price range and the features he wants. The least expensive option is the Roku LT box, which is $49.99. If he wants HD the Roku HD is $10.00 more and gets 720p. If he wants 1080p he will need the XD which is $79.99. There are numerous blu-ray players and TVs that have the app built in. He may have a device already.
